Roto Punch

This Roto Punch is a handy tool to have around for fixing your wardrobe. Most of us have a sewing kit for re-attaching buttons and such, and the Roto Punch is something additional to affix grommets and add more holes to your belts. Of course, if you are into fashion design you must already have this.

Festive Silver Spray Paint

I saw this wooden Christmas Tree made up from words and just had to get it. The big thrill in scrapbooking is seeing words all join up together. To make it really festive, I also bought a can of silver spray paint.

I had a can of pink spray paint before that I used on my vanity storage units. I wanted to get glitter spray paints but the store was all out of it, only left with green, antique gold and chrome silver, so silver it was.

Also spray painted an old suitcase with it. Not exactly a perfect paint job I have to admit, I really need more practice with this. Quite happy that the paints adhered well to various surfaces. This year, I have 2 suitcases that I will be filling with presents for my sis's & bro's families.

Spray paints don't adhere to the rubber zip sides so I wiped it off with glossy spray paint varnish, you learn something new everyday I guess, varnish actually dissolves spray paints (or is it manufacturer error?!). Then taped the rubber parts and re-did the paint job. Ended up with a distressed silver effect that is unique!

Pucci A/W 2013 Fashion

Pucci is super sexy this season with its 70s It Girl look.

Thigh-high boots and short skirts are hardly winter wear, but, if its covered up and long sleeve then it still qualifies as ok. Outerwear is also short and fluffy, for little rabbit girls.

I am most appreciative of evening wear that also has short hemlines and long sleeves with sparkles. I hate adjusting tube tops, bustiers and even spaghetti straps when I am wearing it.

Fondue Pots

If you've received a small fondue pot as a gift before (popular during office gift exchanges) or entertaining, some new ideas for your fondue - cheese (traditional), chocolate, stock, stew, chilli, sauces. Then you dip food in the same you would normally do. I prefer the newer, small sized fondue pots as it makes for really pretty food presentation.

Banana Republic

Count on Banana Republic for easy wearing work clothes that you can bring into the weekend. The clothes are contemporary but the attitude throughout is the rolling 60s.

Banana Republic has a limited edition collection by Issa that also made this dress for Princess Kate.

Tunglok Seafood

Japanese food in a Chinese restaurant, Tunglok has some of the best seafood so why not right. Prices may be similar to upmarket Japanese restaurants, but the portions are huge.

Tunglok is part of the Palate group of restaurants, surprise..surprise...discounts on great food is always appreciated.

The menu has Japanese, Singaporean and Chinese food on it, but seriously, you have to order some cooked Chinese dishes as this remains what they are famous for and good at.

Knitter's Christmas Decor

A knitting ball wreath in Christmas colours! This one is complete with knitting needles.

Christmas tree wrapped in yarn or pom poms! Start with a cone base and glue your way to completion.

Yarn ball ornaments, you can use whole skeins of yarn or use a round base and glue the coloured yarn stylishly onto it. Hang around the house, garden and even on the Christmas tree.

To make a festive centrepiece (hanging or tabletop), glue several yarn balls and yarn nests together. It's whimsical, artistic and oh soo pretty.

Party Streamers! Make cording, pom poms and tassels than string them up to hang around the house. Great way to use up leftover yarn bits.

A yarn ball bouquet, this was a wedding idea and it's still great as a gift for a knitter you know or just placed in a vase this Christmas.

Yarn wrapped Christmas presents. Wrap it in anyway you see fit, express yourself!

Stocking up the Pantry

With the festive season round the corner, I stocked up on party food from TheButcher ($10 delivery flat fee) and RedMart (free delivery above $49).

Mostly gourmet sausages from The Butcher as they make Asian inspired stuffing like their new Thai-inspired Shark Bite sausages. I really like Thai food and sausages are soo easy to cook & eat.

From Redmart, comes party drinks of San Pellegrino, Coca-cola, Perrier with lemon, Artisan Fruit Beers, Hot Chocolate and my all time favourite Ruffles & Tostados chips, I also ordered 1 multi-grain packet just in case.

Novelty Yarn

Its always more fun knitting with novelty yarn and the main reason I took up knitting in the first place. You can't buy something like that in the stores so it is truly unique and makes a special gift for friends and family.

I made several more scarves using the spring vines pattern to giveaway. I really like the way this pattern showcases these pretty yarns.

This pattern uses about 200gm of yarn that costs around $20. Novelty yarns are seldom natural and usually come in chenille, polyester, nylon or lurex that is soft and machine washable.

This interesting version is knitted from 2 skeins of yarn that are spun using various techniques to create multiple effects on 1 continuous line.

DSquared2 A/W 2013 Fashion

DSquared2 takes a totally different direction this season with a 1940s gangsta look. Baggy full suits for the girls, slinky showgirl gowns and lots of fur! Those pouffy hats are like the glammed up versions of trucker caps.

Cute blinged up classics for the boys.

Snacks on the go

When you get tired of the usual biscuits and potato chips to manage your hunger on a late dinner or missed lunch then you need to stock up on these. Snacks that can keep for years and come in little packages.

Granola Bars with chocolate, fruit or plain. Flavoured meat jerky, rubbery but delicious and filling. Cereal, my personal favourite is that waffle one.

Even Astronaut Ice Cream, it usually comes in little balls of sugar that melt in the mouth.

Abercrombie & Fitch

Selling the usual casual wear like jeans and tops but with a remarkable cut. If you are looking for something more tailored in your everyday look, this is the place. Likewise, it is also priced on the higher end of the market, expect to pay $200 for a pair of jeans, $80 for a top. I love the clothes here but the sizes are a little small.

This season the jackets are cut a little more round & flouffy (can I say that) on top.

They also bought out a sparkly, shiny range of clothes for this festive season. I just know those bejewelled jeans are going to sell out.

Prego

White truffle specials on now at Prego. The further in they sit you at this restaurant, the more rustic the environment becomes. Food is still good though. I even received a free birthday cake to go.

Yarn Nests

These whimsical nests can easily be re-created by soaking yarn in white craft glue and attaching it to a ball shape styrofoam or balloon, depending on whether you want it opaque or transparent.
