Anyolite


I read that the name Anyolite is derived from the Massai word for "green". This combination of Ruby and Zoisite is more rare than pure Zoisite. Unique in chemical makeup, these stones are only found in Tanzania, East Africa. Along with the violet blue stone Tanzanite. Usually carved into religious artifacts and statues or polished for jewellery. I chose a 50-50 blend of bright green and reds on my faceted polished Anyolite beads to make a bracelet. Considering it's rareness, the price is reasonably set at $200. My Tanzanite butterfly earrings cost more at $450 (see below).
